Head of Financial Reporting

ROLE:
We are looking for a Head of Financial Reporting to be at the heart of our Finance function, leading our financial reporting team. The position will be based in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, and will report to Oddlygood’s CFO, who is based in London. In this role, you will ensure that the Oddlygood Group fulfils its financial reporting and taxation obligations to its owner and meets statutory requirements across the countries we operate in, including Finland, Sweden, the UK, the Netherlands, and Estonia.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
- Lead the financial accounting function and manage a multinational team of finance professionals
- Oversee monthly group reporting to the parent company Valio, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and manage the group consolidation process
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements for subsidiary entities
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and coordinate reporting to local authorities
- Act as the main point of contact for auditors and coordinate the annual group audit process
- Manage and develop financial reporting processes and internal controls within the organization
- Participate in development of Netsuite and Sage ERP-systems
- Collaborate closely with the CFO and senior management, providing financial insights and supporting decision-making
- Ensure high-quality financial data to support business performance monitoring and strategic planning.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
· Relevant higher education degree in Accounting or Finance (e.g., Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration or equivalent)
· Solid/Strong experience in financial accounting, group reporting, and consolidation (at least 5 years)
· Strong understanding of statutory reporting requirements and financial regulations
· Experience working in an international environment and with multinational teams
· Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams
· Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Netsuite and Sage experience especially relevant)
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
· Understanding of Finnish tax legislation is considered an advantage
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines
· Excellent communication skills in English; (additional languages are considered an advantage)
