Rude Health was founded by Camilla and Nick Barnard in 2005 with a mission of making the healthy choice a celebration not a sacrifice. At Rude Health we talk about doing business the bright way. Oddlygood was founded in 2018 by a team led by Niko Vuorenmaa who saw an opportunity to disrupt the plant-based category with products that were so delicious you’d be amazed they are made from plants. Our mission at Oddlygood is to make plant-based product so delicious that they are not seen as “alternatives” ever again. We do this by making extra-ordinarily delicious and surprisingly plant-based delights crafted to fit into your everyday– lip-smacking drinks, moreish gurts, drool-worthy desserts and snacktastic cheeses.
Both brands are fortunate enough to be backed by Valio (Finland’s biggest dairy cooperative - a business with more than 100 years' experience of innovation in food and drink) and Mandatum (a Nordic growth equity investor) With an incredible R&D team at our disposal, it means our products can be made to the highest quality so our consumers can enjoy the best plant-based choices available.
ROLE MISSION
- To use marketing as a growth driver for the Oddlygood Co brands in the UK, Ireland and Netherlands: delivering short and long term business objectives.
- Working hand in hand with the CMO and UK Country Manager, you will continue the growth of Rude Health by recruiting new consumers looking for healthy and tasty plant-based drinks; and establish Oddlygood as a delicious challenger to mainstream plant-based brands.
- For Rude Health you will execute the strategy to build on the existing momentum – growing awareness, consideration and trial – with flair, boldness and brilliant implementation.
- For Oddlygood, you will establish the ‘go to market’ plans that build rate of sale by recruiting new shoppers at point of purchase, supported by PR and social media.
- You will do this by shaping, leading and developing a small team of top class marketers who can balance the execution of two brilliant, differentiated brands at different growth stages. And you will work cross-functionally to ensure a coherent approach with sales, innovation with leadership alignment.
The Role
Recruiting / developing / building an upbeat, energizing, impactful challenger brand marketing team.
Development and execution of brilliant marketing plans that ensure consistency across markets and are approprioately focused and resourced for the growth stage of each brand and market within the guidelines of our strategic choice framework and our pre-existing brand world.
For Rude Health, being the brand champion for all markets; for Oddlygood, working closely with the global brand team to ensure consistent and brilliant execution.
Leading execution across the full marketing mix, ensuring priorities support each brand’s strategy in line with our strategic choices.
Being a growth champion by developing & executing plans which drive revenue and rate of sale through increased penetration of both Rude Health and Oddlygood
Brilliantly executing the Rude Health and Oddlygood brand positioning, brand world and tone of voice to ensure consistency at every touchpoint in all markets.
Being the #1 brand ambassador, inspiring the team, stakeholders and consumers with the brilliant brands in our portfolio
Managing the marketing budget with a view to profitable growth at all times – spending budget like it is your own money and making choices that result in a focussed and effective plan.
Planning, executing & measuring results (awareness, penetration, market share, brand equity) to increase impact and drive continuous improvement
Being able to continually prioritise resource (yours and the team’s) within each brand and across both brands, to maximise the impact of time, money and effort.
Ensuring a continuous dialogue with key stakeholders (the Oddlygood brand & innovations teams; OG Co Leadership and UK Management) to ensure insights, learning and performance are shared to benefit the total business.
Skills & Experience
An inspiring team leader – coaching and developing a small but perfectly formed team to execute marketing that drives growth
